Greetings!!!

Your criticisms regarding the history on Aklan was quite interesting, I am a writer in one of the national daily which is the Daily Tribune and I wanted to inquire about you some relevant informations regarding your text.

Firstly, Roman de la Cruz one of the surviving historian here has recently admitted that most of the textx contained in Aklan's history was undocumented. The belief might have transfered from generation to generation, not even the origin of Kalibo ati-atihan festival has its necessary documents.

Also, I learned from him that the supposed ten bornean datus according to scholars arrived in a place called 'Siruwagan'-a place between IloIlo and Antique. That means, there is a clear confusion with regards to the history of Aklan province.

As far as I know, the reason why Aklan was called the oldest province is that in this province the historians claimed transpired the first union of state where supposed barter of 'Golden Salakot' between the bornean datu's and the aeta's lead by Datu Marikudo has occured. Thus, the union of state was later called as 'Madyaas Treaty.'

I am thinking about the validity of your claims, with this I would like to requests from you to further expand your comments and I'll asked authorities about it. And if you have more comments, kindly sent me in my e-mail. Alsö, I would also like to seek permission from you to send me info about your personal references so that I can qoute you, and give me right to published some of your observation validated by the authorities here. Thank you very much.

Hello! You must be a hell of a historian or a great historical researcher... I am not an Aklanon but I grew up in Aklan and also read a lot of Aklanon Historical Profile and quite fascinated about it.. quite surprised what I read here in your page...well, at least it will give the reader more to think and ponder what realy lies with the real Aklan History...

Granted that the Ati-Atihan was first staged in the '50s, it's difficult to believe that the question of its authenticity hasn't been settled authoritatively one way or the other.

There has to be a final word on this question. Or isn't there?

I am so happy to note that somebody has initiated in making a web that presents the history and culture of Aklan. But there are so many things about Aklan that perhaps should also be given more attention. I hope that you give space to Aklanon literature so literary scholars will realy distinguish our literary works not a part of Hiligaynon literature. You can also feature dintinguished Aklanons, not only politicians. We have enough of them. The history of Aklan should include the Katipunan of Aklan. The tales, the proverbs, the legends of Aklan will surely encourage other people to visit and study our province if you include these in your site. The beliefs and practices of Aklanons can also be given space. Aklan agriculture and fisheries statistics can also provide very useful information to our people and to those who want to learn about our province. Perhaps you can also include Aklanon songs while your site is being used. I can provide some information on these points if you need my help. .

Meanwhile, go on with your good work. I am proud of you!
